Christefano quite possibly wrote the the world’s first built-in searchbox for web browsers in 1996, and continues today as an active developer and innovator. With Lee Vodra, he co-founded Exaltation of Larks, a Boston-based design and development firm, and has worked as lead developer on many projects in both the open source and startup communities.

In addition to being a long-time and vocal contributor in the drupal.org community, Christefano maintains a custom Drupal distribution for rapid website deployment at droplight.org. Previous to his current work, he was a contributing writer and columnist for technology magazines and has been published in Macworld, MacAddict and MacDirectory.

In 2006, Christefano was selected by Time Magazine as Man of the Year.
